Job Description

This employee must be based out of Seattle and will be responsible for our Pacific Northwest region. This employee's territory will include AK/WA/OR/ID/UT/CO/NM/Western Canada and El Paso,Texas. The Education Executive will serve as a the leader in Education for their region working in partnership with the Regional Sales Manager and Account Executives on training needs to drive sales. The Education Executive will be responsible for facilitating elevated trainings and providing ongoing education with the Nordstrom Estheticians within their region due to the retailer’s waxing service POD. The Education Executive will also facilitate high level artistry trainings in accounts carrying the ABH color line, provide artistry tips and tricks to the AE’s in their region to strengthen skill level and enhance training techniques to ultimately drive sales. It will be imperative for the Education Executive to work in store shoulder to shoulder with those they interact with to observe and coach on positive education and service behaviors that will impact sales. The Education Executive will report directly to the VP of Field Sales and Education.

Essential Functions: 

• Facilitate high impact trainings that include key retailer specific trainings (i.e.: Macy’s Impulse Artistry Trainings, SIJCP TTT, Dillard’s Edge Cluster Trainers, Nordstrom Esthetician Trainings, Ulta Cluster trainings, Sephora Encore, Sephora Education Meetings, Customer Service Trainings, NSO Trainings when available, etc.). 

• Responsible for providing ongoing training in all accounts and teaching makeup application techniques while constantly improving and evolving personal artistry skill. 

• Support high profile events which may include (but are not limited to) facilitating a Master Class, being the headline artist, trainer or speaker for Nordstrom Trend shows, Sephora Marketing Supported Events, PA events, and any other region specific large volume events.

• Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with internal and external business partners to best support the business through education and training to achievement successful sales results.

• Create an open and collaborative environment that influences the internal sales teams within the region, as well as externally with the Macy’s, Dillards, Nordstrom, Sephora and Ulta teams.

• Responsible for delivering education initiatives for the region to ensure there is service, sales and technical consistency across all channels to drive sales and achieve key KPI’s.

• Act as key liaison between the RSM, AE and VP of Sales to provide recaps and feedback on trainings, insight on what is additionally needed in the field from and education perspective, and analyze the business to tailor education focuses to impact sales. 

• Accountable for strengthening brand identity through education by demonstrating proper skills to breed consistency, speaking to the brand’s identity, POD and key messages as well as leading by example in all situations ranging from customer interactions, events, trainings and in meetings.

• Participate in regional meetings and team conference calls to create solutions 
to address business needs for the region.

• Manage individual T&E budget to be within the guidelines and be fiscally responsible when planning regional travel, trainings, etc.

• Be accountable for completing all administrative assignments by their due date.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years cosmetic sales and 3 years of multi-faceted training experience within the cosmetics industry.

Must have an active esthetician license

• Elevated artistry skills. 

• Ability to work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships.

• Proficient in Basics in Word, Excel, PPT. Proficient in Google Drive preferred.

• Ability to travel 80% (includes driving and flying combined).

• Possess a personal vehicle to be utilized for business purposes.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and some holidays.

• Clean 10-year driving record according to company criteria.
