ArcherDX, the NGS applications company, is developing and commercializing a novel approach to target enrichment chemistry. Next-generation sequencing technology based on Anchored Multiplexed PCR (AMP™) generates a highly enriched library of gene targets of interest for downstream genomic sequencing. Complemented by proprietary software and readily accessible reports, our technology enables dramatic enhancement in mutation detection speed as well as complex mutation identification and discovery.

Job Description

The Lead Scientist – Content Development will be responsible for design and development of targeted sequencing products for cancer diagnostics and immunology applications. She/he will have significant expertise in cancer diagnostics or a deep understanding of current targets of interest in cancer drug development. Knowledge of immunology, in particular V(D)J recombination and the development of antibody diversity is a significant plus. Extensive molecular biology experience is a must. The Lead Scientist – Content Development will manage a small team of scientist in choosing content for, as well as building and optimizing, catalog NGS diagnostics panels that expand upon the current ArcherDX product suite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

• Experimental design and execution

• Meeting deadlines and driving projects forward 

• Critical interpretation scientific data and current publications

• Maintaining up-to-date expertise in actionable oncology targets

• Coordinate multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail

• Generation of ideas to improve and innovate in the NGS applications space

• Additional duties as assigned


EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of laboratory experience 

• 2+ years in an industry setting (Preferred)

EDUCATION:   

• MS/PhD in biochemistry or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

• On-Job-Training – As required
