Job Description

Under general supervision, the Production Associate position will be responsible for performing manufacturing processes (formulations, aseptic filling and kitting) according to Standard Operating Procedures. This individual will be able to work on a cross-functional team to support internal and external customer demands. The Production Associate will be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with tight timelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture a variety of biochemical products according to established procedures so as to meet specifications
  • Formulation of buffers and solutions
  • Filling procedures using pipettes and/or liquid handling automation
  • Kitting operations
  • Assist in implementing new technology and equipment into the manufacturing process
  • Regularly draft and revise Work Instructions and Batch Records
  • Identify and recommend improvements related to routine functions and implement after approval
  • Keep accurate records and reports
  • Perform in-process QC sampling as required
  • Prepare buffers per protocols
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe laboratory environment
  • Performs special duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or research laboratory
  • Experience with automated liquid handling systems is strongly preferred
  • GMP and LEAN-manufacturing environments is highly desirable
  • Experience with aseptic technique is helpful

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
