Job Description

When we partner with companies to improve business processes, our primary focus is to create more output from an existing organization.  This usually means offloading responsibilities from key managers to build repeatable systems.  A "repeatable system" occurs when the activities of a company are dependent upon roles, not people.  We begin by documenting all processes in the organization, meeting with managers and employees to identify problem-areas.  We then use industry best-practices to help architect a more efficient approach, including the creation of process maps for role-specific activities and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure individual and company performance.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          SCOPE MEASURES:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            This position has a key and strategic operating role to the local business unit leadership and plays an important role in the achievement of the overall success of these business units.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             This position will report directly to the Director of Lean & Workout.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             The scope of the work will include working with multi-functional teams and local leadership to develop, execute, and complete selected improvement projects in a rapid manner.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Work with people at all levels in the organization from senior business unit leaders and corporate management through field associates.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Expectations include a hands-on teamwork approach to problems, planning, and coaching and mentoring on work-out & lean methodologies.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            History of facilitating successful workout and/or kaizen events.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Related training/education in engineering, business or technical discipline and/or equivalent work experience                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Minimum 1-5 years work experience with proven problem solving experience and process focus using Lean and/or work-out principles.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Proven record of performance and team player                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          BEHAVIORAL/LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIES:                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Broad strategic thinker, with clear vision and direction of world class change
