Visual Merchandisers assist in planning and displaying all visual merchandise in our high volume retail furniture showrooms and play an integral role in Ashley Furniture HomeStore operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Receives, replenishes, & displays all showroom furniture & accessories

* Designs & maintains all showroom displays

* Creates new displays & design elements

* Participates in on-going sales training

* Inventory control responsibilities

* Inventory trouble shooting & problem solving

* Data entry & ability to use company software programs

* Flexibility to travel to service multiple showrooms in Northeast Ohio

To perform the job successfully, this individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

*Possess an Interior Design or Fashion Merchandising Degree or a minimum of 2 years experience as a Visual Designer or Visual Merchandiser, preferred

* Be a self-starter & work independently

* Must have the ability to generate creative ideas & implement these ideas to the visualization of the showroom floor

* Must be computer literate with the ability to learn & become proficient in the inventory & purchase order management utility

Hours:

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.  Occasionally weekend and evening hours are required to complete assignments.

Physical Requirements:

* Required to walk, stand, crouch, kneel, & stretch to reach objects

* Ability to lift, push, pull 40 pounds without assistance & 75 pounds with assistance

* Will occasionally be required to work outdoors & in extreme environments
