Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate

Ashley Furniture HomeStore is now hiring a delivery driver to join its prep & distribution team at our warehouse in Horseheads, NY. If you’re hard-working, friendly, & courteous then you might be just the kind of person we’re looking to add to our team.

What does a Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate do?
•    Physically transfer product/merchandise by Company delivery truck between PDC & customers homes.
•    Load & unload product on/off delivery truck
•    Assist with the placement of product in showroom location
•    Obey all traffic laws, & follow established traffic & transportation procedures while operating the Company’s motor vehicle
•    Assist with the routine inspection & maintenance of Company vehicle, supplies, & equipment and ensure Company vehicle is in proper working condition
•    Adheres to all standard operating procedures & ensures daily/weekly monthly performance levels are achieved
•    Strong commitment to Wellsville Carpet Town, Inc.’s safety policies & procedures and ability to promote awareness with team members
•    Perform other duties as delegated or assigned by Supervisor or Management

What We are Looking For
•    Previous experience working in a warehouse/delivery driver position, preferred
•    Must be prepared to work in any traffic, weather, & timing according to business needs
•    Must be able to work independently & in a team environment
•    Ability to read, understand & follow oral and written instructions
•    Professional communication with management, co-workers & customers
•    Ability to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50lbs, and in excess of 100lbs (with assistance if needed)
•    Must be able to reach, bend, lift, stretch, twist, climb, balance, stoop and crouch as needed
•    Physically able to operate a motor vehicle
•    DOT Certification Required; Must have a valid Driver’s License & acceptable driving history record
•    High School Diploma or G.E.D.

What We Offer

• Awesome Full-time, 4 - day work week.  (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7:30am-6:00pm)
