Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist I is an accounts support payable support position in a fast paced centralized accounting services environment providing financial services to community associations throughout North America.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct initial review of all invoices processed by Data Entry and provide GL coding in a timely and professional manner
• Meet the daily volume and invoice production expectation for processing invoices daily
• Escalate any invoice discrepancies to Accounts Payable Specialist II as needed for further investigation and or resolution
• Provide analysis and feedback of efficiency and process improvements
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners while offering unsurpassed customer service
• Other duties and/or special projects may be assigned to meet business needs


• Mathematical ability to accurately perform calculations and analysis
• Ability to evaluate, analyze,  and prioritize data in various forms and formats
• Ability to complete tasks using internet based software and alpha-numeric data entry
• Basic knowledge in proper accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting; flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
• Strong problem solving skills with acute attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• 2+ years of directly related or closely related experience
• 10 Key by touch

Desired Knowledge and Skills
• Understanding of, or experience in, the Community Association Management Industry
• Experience with AP electronic workflow (i.e. Strongroom) or Complete Control for Communities/C3 Software
