This position is 20 hours a week which includes every other weekend and every other holiday.

The Nutrition & Culinary Assistant performs the combined duties of Attendant in The Café and Parlor Assistant.

1. As Cafe Assistant you will prepare food for the breakfast meal based on resident preference that is healthy, appetizing and served in a timely manner, maintaining high quality standards.
2. Assist with serving resident meals, snacks and nourishments.
3. Performs as clerk in the Cafe area.
4. Leads, participates in, plans, and evaluates activities for the Cafe area.

1. Experience in skilled care or residential services for the elderly desirable. 
2. High school diploma or GED desirable.
3. Adequate experience in commercial food preparation to understand and manage the necessary volume of food preparation and service.
4. Food handling certification (ServeSafe or equivalent) may be a requirement.
