Trained Medication Aide PT - Auburn Manor

  • Part-time Evenings: hours from 3pm-9:30pm; 24 hours bi-weekly.

**$18.75-$21.50/hour (depending on experience) including shift differential

Must be a certified Nursing Assistant & Trained Medication Aide with the State of MN.

The primary purpose of the Trained Medication Aide position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care, services, and medication administration in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

  1. Perform assigned work routines and daily assignments to meet the psychosocial and activities needs of residents and the Household, including creating diverse opportunities for meaningful pursuits, daily pleasures, recreation, exercise, friendships, social interaction, growth and learning, fun and enjoyment, personal routines, spontaneous activity and Household rituals.
  2. Assist residents with activities of their choice, group, individual or one on one. 
  3. Provide for resident leisure life activities.
  4. Take residents outdoors, or out in the facility community.
  5. Participate in outings and special events.
  6. Provide one on one interaction with residents based on preferences.
  7. Transport residents to other parts of the community. 
  8. Collaborate with households and campus staff related to large campus events, shared equipment etc.

Qualifications

  1. High School Diploma or related
  2. Able and willing to work flexible hours such as during evenings and weekends for planned programs.
  3. Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative and good rapport with residents, staff, families and volunteers.
  4. Demonstrated compatibility with AHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  5. Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
