Job Title: Java Spring/MVC Developer

Job Description:

This person will be working on client’s high traffic, revenue generating websites. They will be working on 50% new development from scratch and 50% new development on rewrites. They will be building on top of the existing architecture. 60% front end, 40% back end. This is a high volume and fast paced environment. This role is highly customer facing with daily interaction with the business. This resource will also be expected to be able to take the lead on projects, speak up at meetings, and should be extremely independent. This person should be extremely well-versed with the Java ecosystem, Apache, Maven, J2EE architecture basics, SVN, unit testing, etc. Although this position is heavier on the front end, this person will need to know the back end well enough to be able to determine the source of a problem that may ultimately be found in the back end. Key soft skills that will set someone apart will be the ability to think outside the box, analytical, great problem solving abilities, having a start-up mentality with proven experience working in an enterprise level environment, be highly collaborative, and have a leadership mentality. The environment is also very fast paced and high volume environment.
