Job Description

Responsible for all financial and fiscal management aspects of company operations. Provide strategic leadership and coordination in the administrative, business planning, accounting and budgeting efforts of the company. The chief financial officer is accountable for the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.

The person in this role also is a member of the Leadership team, contributing and working collaboratively with all elements of day-to-day airline operations, including employee and customer relations, safety, revenue management, scheduling, strategic alliances, sales, brand management, product development and customer service delivery.


Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

- MBA required; CPA required. Airline industry experience strongly preferred. 

- 15+ years of experience leading and managing Financial responsibilities of a large company.

- Experience in strategic planning and execution. 

- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. 

- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. 

- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. 

- Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. 

- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. 

- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint; web-based and email programs.

- Excellent communication skills verbally, in writing, and electronically

- Public presentation skills

- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.

- Travel requirements 25-30%.
