As a Controls Engineer your main functions/tasks will be:

• Development of the detail engineering for conveyor baggage handling systems or parcel sortation systems.
• Coordination of the controls scope in assigned projects.
• To lead the design of the controls aspects of assigned projects.
• To specify, develop and configure the controls integration.
• Programming and start-up PLC based installations.
• The allocation of design tasks to project related workload.
• The reviewing, checking and approval of project related documentation.
• Validation of the design, detection of problems (testing) and troubleshooting of open points affecting the system programming and commissioning.

Support Site

• Handle site problem reports, open points, etc.
• Create extra material specifications when need it.
• Supports the installation team and commissioning teams on site when need it.
• Processes as-built documentation from site.

Continuous improvement

• Transfer knowledge to other engineers.
• Initiates improvements in content, process and tooling.
• Feeds back lessons learned from the project into product, process and tooling.
• Supports head of engineering department.
• Tutors new engineers.

As a Controls Engineer within BEUMER Group Spain, we are looking for a person with the follow experience and skills:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Controls or Automation or Electronics Engineering.
• More than 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience within the design of system controls based on PLC.
• Experience in Siemens S7 PLC Programming.
• Experience in Siemens Tia Portal.
• Knowledge in simulation/emulation software like Experior and/or Demo3D.
• Strong analytical skills, the ability to use logistic skills in analysing and understanding customer processes, creating concept solutions.
• Strong communicational skills and a creative approach to build professional client relationships.
• Ability to work within an international work environment, especially working within a project organization.
• Strong language skills in English, both verbal and written, and a native/bilingual level of Spanish.
• Readiness to travel and flexible hours, when is required.
• Leadership and ability to take decisions.
• Organized and methodical.
• Driving Licence.
