Job Description

  • Provide on-site inspection and validation of equipment status
  • Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs
  • Provide high level technical support to customers at their location
  • Provide on-site training to the customers
  • Interface with cross functional work teams such as field applications, customer support/services, product management and marketing/sales
  •  Develop Service technical documentation
  •  Develop and manage service technicians
  • Create and maintain service information in the company enterprise database
  • Timely and professionally handle field service calls and issues arising from the field service visits
  • Timely complete and submit all required paperwork
  • Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions
  • Conduct regular meetings with customers to help improve customer relations and retention.
  • Prepare yearly customer visit plan.
  • Visit all the customers' minimum twice a year.
  • Perform yearly Sorter inspection for all the customers.
  • Provide assistance on preparation of sales quotations and tenders time to time
  • Develop macros in excel for automatic sales calculation and cost dispersion.
  • Perform minor upgrade projects in South East Asia Region
  • Misc. duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Field Service Engineer
  • Understands the Beumer Group corporate process and follow the same
  • Any other assignments as allocated by the reporting supervisor / management.
  • Able to travel to South East Asia region

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical/ mechanical engineering or physical sciences. Masters or higher level education is preferred.
  • Experience in service and maintenance of Baggage or material handling equipment's
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, advanced Excel and excellent skill in Visual Basic.
  • Working knowledge and ability to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits
  • Technical writing skills

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively & independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong report writing and record keeping ability
  • Good computer and database skills
  • Work under high pressure with minimal supervision and guidance
  • Result Oriented
  • Able to accept responsibilities based on delegation, and participation.
  • Creativity and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
  • Qualifications and experience in information technology, network or PLC will be an added advantage
