Job Description
- Provide on-site inspection and validation of equipment status
- Perform hands-on on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs
- Provide high level technical support to customers at their location
- Provide on-site training to the customers
- Interface with cross functional work teams such as field applications, customer support/services, product management and marketing/sales
- Develop Service technical documentation
- Develop and manage service technicians
- Create and maintain service information in the company enterprise database
- Timely and professionally handle field service calls and issues arising from the field service visits
- Timely complete and submit all required paperwork
- Communicate with the customer to ensure satisfaction and implement any necessary corrective actions
- Conduct regular meetings with customers to help improve customer relations and retention.
- Prepare yearly customer visit plan.
- Visit all the customers' minimum twice a year.
- Perform yearly Sorter inspection for all the customers.
- Provide assistance on preparation of sales quotations and tenders time to time
- Develop macros in excel for automatic sales calculation and cost dispersion.
- Perform minor upgrade projects in South East Asia Region
- Misc. duties commensurate with the capabilities of a Field Service Engineer
- Understands the Beumer Group corporate process and follow the same
- Any other assignments as allocated by the reporting supervisor / management.
- Able to travel to South East Asia region
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical qualifications in electrical/ mechanical engineering or physical sciences. Masters or higher level education is preferred.
- Experience in service and maintenance of Baggage or material handling equipment's
- Working knowledge of MS Office, advanced Excel and excellent skill in Visual Basic.
- Working knowledge and ability to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits

- Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively & independently with minimal supervision
- Strong report writing and record keeping ability
- Good computer and database skills
- Work under high pressure with minimal supervision and guidance

- Creativity and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
- Qualifications and experience in information technology, network or PLC will be an added advantage
