The SW System Engineer in BEUMER Group is responsible for solving software development tasks as well as participating in parts of or the total project and product from analysis to test and commissioning of the system.

As a senior software developer at BEUMER Group Airport Projects you become part of a software organization of 120 specialists who are ready to challenge you professionally. In your daily work, you will be part of a project team of about 10 colleagues, and together you will create the solutions that will become the world's leading luggage systems in the departure and arrival halls of the world. We take care of the entire SW development palette of our complex systems. You will have the opportunity to get your hands on things like back-end, databases, algorithms, GUI, configuration and testing.

 We are searching for a professional and motivated team members who will join our team, where the main responsibility is development and delivery of high-end quality system engineering oriented software solutions. You will work in an international organization, communicating and supporting our customers worldwide.

In relation to this role, the following overall tasks are in scope:

• Making analysis, functional and design specification for the software solutions
• Estimating the software development tasks
• Develop software according to specifications, SW development best practices, BEUMER processes and company quality management system
• Programming in JAVA, HTML5, Angular, SQL etc.
• Ensuring compliance with defined coding and architectural standards
• Performing code review 
• Configuring and setting up third party software and hardware
• Configuring and installing platform components and products
• Documentation of developed solutions 
• Making customer documentation
• Implementing and documenting test phase
• Test of developed software
• Software bug fixing
• Supporting and troubleshooting running systems (remote or on site)
• Participating in remote and on-site installation and commissioning of control supplies
• Keeping technically up to date

You are a motivated, confident and communicative person with already profound enterprise experience in software development. Furthermore, you have the following qualifications:

• University degree – technical or IT oriented studies
• Open for working within international teams
• At least 5-6 years of proven commercial experience with the following programming languages / technologies:  JAVA, HTML5, Angular, SQL
• Very good level of English written and spoken
• Strong focus on quality assurance (specification, code, processes, documentation, tests, etc.)
• Basic knowledge and understanding of agile project methodologies
• Good orientation and overview in the area of machine engineering (nice to have)
