• Analyzing local codes, local regulations, specifications and documents to ensure alignment with the contracts.
• Review and implement contractual requirements for the design.
• Manage and implement documentation processes.
• Manage and analyze the project program to ensure all target dates are completed on time or assess the impacts.
• Manage and prioritize tasks and risks.
• Allocate workloads for team members and monitor to ensure that all contractual target dates for submittals are achieved.
• Production of power calculations, discrimination and cable sizing.
• Assess the power quality for Harmonics and Power Factor Correction.
• Production of PLC zoning.
• Production of E-stop design with cause and effects matrix.
• Production of cable schedules.
• Production of Single Line Diagrams in Auto Cad.
• Electrical design of control systems. (PLC based)
• Production of material submittals.
• Design electrical containment.
• Review the design for alignment to ensure compliancy with specifications.
• Check all documents for quality assurance before submittal.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead a design team on major projects or work as an individual on minor projects. The design of conveyor baggage systems is inclusive of power distribution inc. power quality, conveyor controls, 3rd party interfacing, lighting, small power, CCTV, IT networks and is inclusive of conceptual design, detailed design, installation work packs with support to the installation team during the installation and through to handover of the project, ensuring all tasks are completed within the timescales and quality is observed.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Structured approach to work and acute awareness of detail.
• Must have a hands-on approach.
• Have excellent communication skills and ability to organize and lead meetings with internal stakeholders as well as clients and suppliers.
• Experienced user of MS Office & Auto Cad, basic user of E-Plan and have knowledge of power distribution software such as Caneco, E-Tap or similar.
• Capable of managing and prioritizing tasks as well as being able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
• Assess fellow team members to their strengths/needs and delegate tasks accordingly.
• Experience in conveying systems with PLC control is essential.
• Basic knowledge of IT Network systems.
• Capable of searching and sourcing new products and incorporating them into the design.
• Willing to learn, encompass new ideas and concepts from fellow team members.
• Able to work in a multicultural team.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Strong communication skills are vital as inter departmental co-ordination within our teams provide clarity and success.

In the Middle East we have approximately 200+ employees from more than 20 countries. You will be based in our Dubai office and may need to travel to other BEUMER Group companies / projects around the world.
