Reporting to the manager of our Commercial Management Team,  you will be the lead in  global network of contract managers  securing a consistent global approach to contract management as well as being operationally involved in our most critical global activities.

Lead and develop contract management network and ensure application of lessons learned
You will take on both a local and global role. Collaborating closely with colleagues in Aarhus as well as in our group companies across the globe as part of the contract management set-up. Your tasks will include:

  • Being the focal point and coordinator of the global network of contract managers for professional development, knowledge exchange and expert guidance in processes and methodologies.
  • Ensuring that BEUMER Group's requirements to contract management are provided for by the global network.
  • In collaboration with the commercial management team:
    • Ensuring continuous improvement of BEUMER Group's contracts through lessons learned and mitigating risk exposure in projects;
    • Participating throughout the sales phase of projects including contract review, assessment, re-draft and negotiation.
  • Operational involvement in the most critical of our global activities with expert knowledge, such as support in negotiations and closure of changes with BEUMER Group's customers in line with our strategic focus.
  • Continuous review and improvement of our contract management process and templates, often in collaboration with our Project Management Office with whom you also provide global training on contract management topics to a variety of colleagues providing a general lift of the organization in its competences in this field.
  • Close cooperation with our global network of project directors and project managers.

As the Senior Contract Manager, you are the organizational benchmark of contract management demonstrating the application and understanding of the contracts with our customers in conjunction with the part of our business executing large and complex international integration projects. As a significant position within the project team, you have superior communication and coordination skills and understand how to operate in an organization, which focuses more on networks and less on hierarchies.
You have till now acted within project teams as a key participant for the Project Director/Project Manager. An intimate understanding of how large construction projects are executed and the resulting strategic navigation within the project, its contracts and towards the set goal is key.

You have extensive knowledge of cause and effect in integration projects with its many stakeholders, executed change management including claims and variations for time and cost and lead contract administration including preparation and maintenance of contemporary records as well as contractual correspondence.

You have an educational background in the commercial area e.g. Cand.merc.(jur.) or civil-, industrial engineering or possibly long experience in project management with a demonstrated  talent and flair for contract management. You might be conversant in the common international contract templates e.g. from FIDIC. The position requires effortless communication in English, written and oral, and a willingness to travel up to 50 days per year.
