Are you a skilled server and system administrator? Would you like to play an important part in ensuring that our server facilities live up to best practice? And that our site offices are up to date on the newest infrastructure?

Then join our Infrastructure team, which is stationed in Aarhus and Beckum, Germany. Your manager is located in Aarhus and your team lead is in Beckum. Together with your international team, you will help us lift the responsibility of the infrastructure for the entire BEUMER Group.

You have the local datacenter facility responsibility
In the BEUMER Group, you will be part of an international manufacturer of high-tech intralogistics systems and a leading business within its field. Based in Aarhus, Denmark, your mission will be to work in a large, infrastructure setup with primary responsibility for two server rooms facility in Aarhus.

Local responsibility, global reach
You will be responsible for the local datacenter facility of the 2 server rooms and set up the infrastructure according to (security) standards and directions from the global IT team. Moreover, you will:

• Implement major local updates as project lead or project member
• Be responsible for operating the local backup environment
• Performing updates on application level
• Install and implement local applications on our servers following our security standards.

In addition, you will be the main responsible for infrastructure design and operations of our data analytics environment based upon the elastic stack.

Part of your job also has to do with coordination of suppliers for the local systems, coordinate with the group infrastructure teams at server level, as well as with the Service Desk team, which is the single point of contact for the business. Furthermore, you coordinate and spar with the local application owners and document local systems and their SLAs.  

As responsible for keeping the global site office infrastructure up to date, you will travel globally up to 20 days a year to different site offices and infrastructure projects.

The setup is ready for you
We already have the standards, frames and systems set in place for you, so your challenge will be to maneuver on server level while staying business-oriented at application level. All of this has to run smoothly to function in our operating system, which is handled by your colleagues. Ready to spare with you are colleagues in both Aarhus and Germany, so you will always be part of a larger setup.

Infrastructure and administrator experience
In this role, you need to know how to set up IT infrastructure using Windows Server as well as Active Directory. And you have knowledge of VMWare, Commvault Simpana and ideally Linux operating systems. Furthermore, we imagine that you:

• Hold a relevant IT degree, or work experience, perhaps combined with certifications within infrastructure or relevant training
• Have 2+ years of work experience as system/server administrator and with service management.
• Know how to work according to the ITIL process and have experience with Datacenter facility and infrastructure
• Have experience  with coordination of IT suppliers and knowledge of SLAs and how to implement these
• Speak and write Danish and English fluently
