Job Description

The SW System Engineer in BEUMER Group is responsible for solving software development tasks as well as participating in parts of or the total project and product from analysis to test and commissioning of the system.

As a software developer at BEUMER Group you become part of our software organization family, that is ready to challenge your ambition. In your daily work, you will be part of a project team of about 3 – 10 colleagues, and together you will create the solutions that will become the world's leading intralogistics systems for conveying, loading, packaging, sortation, and distribution in the world. We take care of the entire SW development palette of our complex systems. You will have the opportunity to get your hands-on topics like system backend, UI, databases, algorithms, and testing.

 

We are searching for a professional and motivated team member who will join our team, where the main responsibility is delivery of high-end quality systems and engineering-oriented software solutions. You will work in an international organization, communicating and supporting our customers worldwide.

Your responsibilities

In relation to this role, the following overall tasks are in scope:

  • Software development of dedicated sortation systems according to system specification, software best practices, BEUMER processes and company quality management system.
  • Customer requirement analysis and alignment on tailor-made solutions.
  • Programming in .NET, Angular, HTML5, using SQL, and more.
  • Developing software modules to control dynamic logistic processes.
  • Documentation of developed solutions.
  • Onsite availability is part of the job (up to 20%):
    • Configuring and setting up third-party software, hardware as well as platform components and products.
    • Supporting and supervising the project from onsite installation through software commissioning to acceptance by the client.
    • Testing activities of installed and developed software.
    • Troubleshooting productive systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications

You are a motivated, communicative, and highly confident person (able to make decisions even in difficult situations) with at least basic enterprise experience in software development. Furthermore, you have the following qualifications:

  • University degree – technical oriented studies (Automation, Robotics, Computer Science)
  • Open for working within international teams.
  • At least 1 – 2 years of proven commercial experience with .NET technologies
  • Very good level of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong focus on quality assurance (processes, documentation, code, tests, etc.)
  • Good orientation in the area of system automation or PLC programming (nice to have)
  • Good orientation in the area of machine engineering (nice to have)
  • Open for traveling (up to 20%)
