Company Description

 BSCS is looking to develop a team of committed individuals with lived experience and sustained recovery from substances. These knowledgeable and supportive individuals will be on-call to the emergency departments of local hospitals, so that anyone in the emergency department who has been treated for an overdose will have a Recovery Coach who is a dedicated, understanding and non-judgmental person who can act as a recovery guide/resource and support person that will assist the individual in all paths to recovery. 

Job Description

To Provide on-call support to the Emergency Department

Responsibilities include:

• Understand and fully support the Recovery Coach Model

• Participate in developing and implementing community activities that support and promote recovery

• Work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of program and individuals

• On-call responsibilities

• Maintaining strict confidentiality is a necessity in this position

• Other duties assigned as necessary to maintain the program operations of the Center


• Must have successfully completed recovery coach academy training

• Lived experience with sustained recovery is required

• Strong people focus and orientation will add value to the agency and programs that the Recovery Support Center serves

• Develops trusting relationships

• Respects and advocates for all paths to recovery

• Excellent organizational skills (oral and written) and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure

• Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize is a position requirement

• Possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment
