Job Description

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of campaign, focusing on email in all major marketing initiatives in both the B2C and B2B realm of Beatport properties (including but not limited to Music, Sounds, Play and Sounds To Sample).  The position involves management of all email campaigns throughout their entire lifecycles, from coordinating and coding to execution and reporting on KPIs. The position is also responsible for coordinating label initiatives as they relate to marketing and any general assistance in marketing production needed by the Director of Marketing or Head of Marketing.

The Marketing Coordinator’s responsibilities include campaign coordination, email coding and execution, campaign support and label marketing support.


Essential Functions:



  • Developing email calendar based off of campaigns for Beatport Properties and internal priorities
  • Manage due dates from multiple departments to ensure on-time execution
  • Coding/Testing/Executing Campaigns and Emails
  • Routinely auditing all email communications for tone, messaging, styling and content, and making improvements based on audits and tests
  • Reporting on KPIs



Label Support

  • Work with label priorities to develop and execute marketing opportunities
  • Coordinate schedules for a successful launch
  • Document marketing initiatives to report back to the label
  • Report on KPIs / Create recaps for ongoing improvement
  • Maintain relationships


Campaign Support

  • Develop and manage due dates for an on-time launch
  • Coordinate art-work creation cycle
  • Launch campaigns through internal systems and 3rd parties vendors
  • Report on KPIs through detailed recaps


Additional Duties

  • Write subject lines and copy for emails
  • Data review as needed
  • Animated gif expert
  • Provide general marketing production assistance as needed to the marketing team


To land this job you’ll need to have:

  • HTML email coding experience using Dreamweaver
  • Writing and editing experience, strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work well within a team located in two geographic regions
  • 2 years marketing experience/background

And it will be an added bonus if you’ve got:

  • Knowledge of and interest in digital music space
