As a Junior Content Merchandiser at Beatport you are responsible for best enabling our customers and users to find the music they are looking for and even the music they don’t know they are looking for in a timely & efficient way.

We are looking for an expert in Festival Style Dance Music. You will work alongside a highly experienced team to ensure that the best content possible is easily found by visitors to the site on a daily basis.

Some of the typical job responsibilities include:

• Monitor your assigned genre stores on the site daily to ensure they are running as they should be without glitches or errors.

• Perform daily site updates to the assigned genre stores showcasing the most relevant and impactful releases, charts, labels, and artists. Generate weekly reports using analytic tools to review and report the effectiveness of selected content.

• Consistently assign newly encoded music to the correct genre and ensure all other content is correctly assigned. Prioritize to ensure top producing labels and artists are encoded correctly before going live.

• Provide editorial reviews of new releases and contribute features to our news site, Beatportal; 3-5 contributions per week.

• Use analystics tools to monitor activity, drive merchandising decisions, and report out weely to management. 

• Monitor and update displayed content available in the stores.

• Take ownership for all merchandising related to assigned genres (ie, BeatBot selections, Top 10 Search, etc). Work with Product Owners to address any programming issues.

To land this job you’ll need to have:

• Must have extensive music knowledge in either Festival of Club oriented dance music, as well as an extensive background within the music industry

• Must have a specialist knowledge within dance music, electronic music, and DJ culture

• Must have organization and administrative skills

• Must have some journalist experience

• Must be able to use Excel and know how to interpret statistical data, generate reports, and charts

And it will be an added bonus if you’ve got:

***We are looking for someone based in the Berlin or Amsterdam area. Relocation from Amsterdam would not be required, however it is important to note that frequent travel to Berlin may be required.
