Ember App Developer

Company Description

Beatport is growing and we are looking for talented people who are passionate about what they do. We have built an amazing business around inspiring people to play with music and everyone's role here plays an important part in this.

Job Description

We’re building a next-generation platform for fans and artists of electronic music culture to connect. We’ve been hard at work for a year, and it shows. The application is carefully written, tested, and running on the latest versions of Ember and Ember Data. You’ll be helping to shape the application by submitting pull requests and closing issues on GitHub.

Qualifications

The more experience you’ve got with these technologies, the better:

  • Ember
  • Ember Data
  • CoffeeScript
  • Handlebars
  • QUnit
  • Sass
  • NPM and Bower
  • Responsive design
  • Git and GitHub
  • Refactoring (we take pride in deleting code)

We’ll be asking about past experience you have building applications on a team. We’d also love to see samples of open-source code you’ve written. A personal project written with Ember? Bonus points.

We offer a competitive compensation package, plenty of vacation days, and VIP access to select music events. You will work with a team that values collaboration and mentorship. We are always helping one another—someone almost always has the answer for any question you've got. Being into EDM is a plus!

We’re based in New York, but flexible for remote workers if the fit is right. Some of our team is already remote, so being able to work collaborative over Flowdock and Google Hangouts is a must. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

To apply:

Please send a short note introducing yourself and why this position appeals to you. Include a resume, links to code samples and a link to a portfolio if you have one.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
