Job Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist role is to ensure Pro, Sounds and Play marketing messages are integrated across our internal and external media channels via ongoing digital campaigns. This person will be deeply integrated with key stakeholders on the Sounds, Play, and Pro teams to develop brand credibility and revenue-driving campaigns and cross merchandising opportunities across the Pro ecosystem, as well as externally with key media and educational partners.

Some of the typical job responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the Sounds team to develop, own, execute and report on monthly cross channel product sales and promotions 
  • Integrate with Play stakeholders to develop, own, execute and report on multi-channel Play marketing strategy aimed at serving these users’ needs and converting them into paying customers 
  • Work with email team to improve on ongoing communication strategy for Sounds and Play users
  • Build and maintain relationships with educational partners with the goal of integrating Beatport Pro/Sounds/Play into their curriculum as an acquisition tool for Beatport Pro
  • Build and maintain relationships with media/blog partners to integrate Beatport Pro/Sounds/Play verticals into their editorial calendars via organic articles and paid advertising
  • Work with Merchandising, News, email and social for deeper ongoing Sounds and Play integration in editorial calendars
  • Prepare and present analytical data to support potential marketing program effectiveness, conversion rates and ROI
  • Lead Pro / Sounds / Play social content editorial strategy
  • Monitor KPIs around Sounds and Play with assistance of BI team
  • Lead marketing initiatives around Sounds relaunch 
  • Lead SoundsToSample sunsetting 
  • Assist with and contribute to ongoing acquisition and retention programs as needed
  • Meet mutually agreed-upon goals on budget and on time

Qualifications

To land this job you'll need to have:

  • 2 years minimum working in digital marketing
  • Degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or statistics preferred
  • Competence in: Excel, Powerpoint, Google applications, Basecamp (or similar project management software), Box (or other cloud sharing software), Content management software, Mac OS
  • Experience working with ecommerce companies
  • Experience working with Google Analytics, Adobe Omniture or other similar digital campaign tracking software
  • Experience maintaining mutually beneficial partnerships with external partners 
  • Understanding of and ability to present campaign analysis, including deep understanding of essential digital marketing KPIs: ROI, conversion rate, life time value, average cart size, etc
  • Understanding of dance music industry, preference given to candidates with knowledge of music production and DJing
  • Extra credit for HTML, Photoshop, CSS skills
