opening for a Business Analyst located in San Diego, CA. This is a full-time position and our client is only interested in local candidates to the area since no relocation assistance is provided. The salary depends on experience, but ranges from 80-90K + Benefits.
The Product Owner represents the stakeholders, are the voice of the customer, and the company. This position is often considered the project’s key stakeholder. Part of your responsibilities will be to have a vision of what needs to be built, and to convey this vision to the Scrum Team. You will be accountable for ensuring that the Scrum Team delivers value to the business with their incremental deliveries of working code. The Product Owner writes customer-centric items (typically user stories), ranks and prioritizes them, and adds them to the product backlog. This is a highly visible role, one which requires understanding and representing the customer to the team through backlog management and elaboration of user stories and requirements. You will be the source of both the business requirements and functional specifications. You will serve as the business communication liaison throughout each project.
Create, maintain, and “own” the product backlog.
Provide product input frequently
Prioritize the backlog according to business value and stakeholder input
Identify product release content and timeline
Convey the vision and goal at the beginning of every release and iteration to Scrum Team
Represent the customer to the team, answer questions, and provide direction
Assist with the elaboration of the user stories and requirements
Participate in the planning meetings, reviews (demo) and retrospective meetings
Coordinate with other Agile Product Owners to coordinate release planning for cross-product initiatives.
Work with the Steering Committee to set priorities and drive day to day prioritization
Work with Scrum Master and Scrum Team to translate high-level strategy & product direction into features, epics and user stories; prioritize in the product backlog for selection for sprint backlog
Play integral role in facilitating and coordinating between business and client from initial discussions to client launch and post-launch support
Responsible for converting launch requirements into backlog items
Other duties as assigned
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM), preferred
3+ years of Agile experience
Healthcare industry experience, required
Previous experience with clinical and analytical applications desired
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Expert level attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with MS Project and project management principles, a plus
Experience with Team Foundation Server, a plus
Strong product & project management skills
Experience with requirements: elicitation, gathering, documentation and management
Proven ability to quickly learn new business domains and technical applications
Experience with software development of client-server, web-based, data warehousing, reporting, or similar systems
Will require up to 25% Travel
