The Freelance Technical Writer is a crucial position in the marketing team and for the company. This individual will be tasked with translating our product features into high-quality marketing and customer support materials for both an IT audience and end-users. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for creating white papers, landing pages, knowledge base articles, and product release notes.

Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality, compelling marketing and customer support materials to be used across a variety of mediums: Website, Knowledge Base, Center of Excellence, and internal channels.
• Own the entire content creation workflow: research, outline, writing, and editing.
• Translate product features and technical topics into content geared towards IT admin audience and end-users.

• Proven experience as a lead writer who has created a wide variety of content for different mediums: white papers, e-book, knowledge base articles, deployment guides, datasheets, etc.
• Strong technical aptitude and experience writing for enterprise software products.
• Excellent research skills and the ability to get your hands dirty with the product you’re writing for. 
• Track record of creating content from abstract – you will have SMEs and an editor at your disposal, but you’ll need to be able to write without a lot of direction.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take constructive feedback.
• Familiarity with SaaS products, SAML, Active Directory, and IT provisioning  is preferred but not a deal-breaker.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multi-tasking, and project management skills.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented.
