To fulfill this ambition, you will join a dedicated, agile and cross-skilled Booking squad, operating as a mini-startup within BlaBlaCar. The roadmap of the squad fits into the broader ambition of the Monetize Tribe. The squad is comprised of great profiles with a strong entrepreneurial mindset: engineers, UX designer, product manager and data scientists. You will also belong to the larger Tech group; a talented crew of developers spread across the organization in other agile teams with whom you can share core skills and knowledge.

Within the squad, you will play a driving role in the monetization of new countries as well as improving our existing booking system.

What you will directly contribute to:

• Ensuring the best booking experience for our members to fulfill our ambition of being the greatest global transportation network;
• Improving the success of our passengers through optimization, guided by data-driven processes and decisions of our system;
• Providing a smooth transition when we introduce our booking system for the first time in each new country, with intuitive UX and added-value features.

What you will need to be successful:

• Proficiency in Swift (or Objective-c) with a strong background in software engineering;
• Thorough understanding of UI/UX, showing real empathy to the user;
• Working experience with a large codebase/high-scale application;
• Assertive contribution to the decision making process and team roadmap;
• Strong culture of A/B testing, decisions led by impact and care for the big picture;
• Passionate, open-minded, eager to learn new things and to share with other team members;
• Firm belief that "Done is better than perfect" and that "The member is the boss" are compelling values;
• Fun team spirit that embraces the power that scrum assigns to developers.
