We are now looking to bring extraordinary design experience to lead talented and motivated team and continue driving efficient global solutions for growth.

What you will directly contribute to

Working collaboratively with Head of Brand & Design, you will create and direct the creative output, from strategic concept generation through to design completion. You will be responsible for the quality of creative deliverable across a range of global projects in online and offline channels.

Responsibilities
  • Lead creative direction and quality control of design, copy-writing and production of ongoing content projects for all channels in innovative ways across digital and traditional media, working hand in hand with Video Lead.
  • Work in tandem with the Product Marketing and Community Leads to efficiently guide and amplify these communication areas for both our prospects and community.
  • Work with Internal Communication to spread the brand love within the company.
  • Work with Product content and UX teams to ensure brand consistency through all marketing funnel.
  • Ensure design and typography excellence and full brand consistency (visual & message) across all markets and consumer touch-points.
  • Oversee ongoing projects, manage multiple priority briefs and campaigns, develop guidelines for BTL projects.
  • Identify improvements & innovations (team organisation, briefing, tools and processes, planning) to drive efficiency and effectiveness, reduce costs and/or increase speed and quality of production.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and partners to ensure brand fit, creative and operational excellence standards.

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent, from a fine arts or design discipline.
  • Further education (eg. Masters, autodidact learning) in brand management or marketing a significant plus.
  • Minimum 10 years creative/ brand management experience with extraordinary portfolio to show (including strong digital concepts).
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator...
  • Experience of managing third-party agencies.
  • Experience overseeing content for web, mobile and social platforms highly valuable.
  • A confident and impactful communicator, able to clearly articulate strategic concepts and reflect them in creative direction.
  • Perfect understanding of BlaBlaCar’s strategic goals, business, marketing and product.
  • Passionate, committed creative team builder / leader and skillful manager, able to get others on board, inspire, guide and mentor successfully. Track record of establishment and ongoing development of design teams highly valued.
  • Comfortable working in a start up culture with a high growth/agile environment, a fearless problem-solver with a can-do approach who embraces constant change.

To succeed in this role you will be a mature creative who seeks the ‘big idea’ and really understands both brand and online performance advertising with a strong understanding of marketing logic behind every piece of content. You will be proactive, enjoy developing and coaching a team, and be able to balance doing design work whilst simultaneously managing a team and projects. You will have proven experience working as with strategic/ marketing understanding, and be capable of leading high-level marcom content projects. We’re interested in someone who is both a creative & strategic thinker and a talented creator of tangible digital assets, and inspired by tackling real-world business problems on a global scale.

Strong knowledge of digital marketing is mandatory. Please note that, although UI UX skill is of course useful to designing online content, the scope of this role does NOT include UI UX design of the site or apps. The role is 100% focused on creation and management of marketing content.

As a key manager, travel to local offices to build team relationships with local colleagues and understand local market challenges will be vital.
