As BlaBlaCar pursues its ambitious development in France, we are looking for a Press Relations Manager to join the local France & Benelux team. You will be joining a very skilled and motivated team of people, whose goal is to accelerate BlaBlaCar's growth in France & Benelux.

As the Press Relations Manager, you will be in charge of defining the French PR strategy and handling relations with journalists in order to support BlaBlaCar communication through French media. 

As the Global PR coordinator, you will support interactions with leading anglo-saxon corporate media, and BlaBlaCar Founders’ participations at conferences (in France and Europe). Finally, as the Global PR coordinator in BlaBlaCar’s headquarters, you will be the point of contact to synchronise local PR managers on key corporate messages across our international offices.

You will directly report to the Country Manager France & Benelux, in addition to very regular interactions with BlaBlaCar’s Founders.

WHAT YOU WILL DIRECTLY CONTRIBUTE TO :

  • Defining our French PR strategy.

  • Positioning of announcements and writing of press releases in french and a template in english for international sync.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with corporate media (French & anglo-saxon), and consumer media (French only).

  • Managing incoming calls from french journalists.

  • Proactively pushing messages through different kinds of media (corporate, consumer…)

  • Invite journalist to press conferences in Paris (the organisation of the event is managed by the facilities team)

  • Updating our French & Anglo Saxon BlaBlaCar Newsroom.

  • Selecting and managing our PR agency (FR & Belgium)

  • Weekly sync call with our anglo-saxon PR agency in London.

  • Monitoring of media coverage in France.

  • Newswatching - mobility / tech scene / local news which could have impacts on BlaBlaCar.

  • Taking care of interviewees media training and Q/A draft.

  • Organizing TV/Radio reports and interviews for Founders.

  • Reporting on PR results and impact (benchmarking on PR tools)

Qualifications

  • At least 4-5 years of experience in PR domain (can be in an agency)

  • Having a Masters degree in PR/Journalism or communication

  • Highly passionate about the press and media ecosystem;

  • Passion for sharing economy or carpooling would be a plus;

  • Native level in French and fluent in English; excellent writing skills in both languages.

  • High sense of organization and method, big energy, efficiency, creativity, proactivity and ingenuity in any circumstance;

  • Ability to work with international teams;

  • Ability to work autonomously with tight deadlines and fast-learner;

  • Great interpersonal skills;

  • Fun and Serious
