BlaBlaCar is looking for a French Language and Localization Specialist to join its Product Marketing team. 

The Localization team mission at BlaBlaCar: 

Deliver a high-quality local experience for our platforms. Working closely with the product team, the team is responsible for sensitivity towards cultural specificities, analysis, and localization tasks, including:

• Manage the processes and resources for localizing BlaBlaCar's platforms to ensure success in the respective languages and countries.

• Intra and inter-team communication on agreed country-specific standards to ensure that specifications are met.

• Initiate localization efforts for products, including website, mobile applications, emails, etc...

• Maintain global content coherence across all our platforms.

As a French Language and Localization Specialist, you will be responsible for:

You will provide French language services for BlaBlaCar products. You will work closely with Product Managers, internal linguistic editors and translators to research and resolve French language issues. The perfect candidate should be able to flawlessly translate, edit and proofread texts in French.

• Adapt English text into French
• Daily translation updates of BlaBlaCar’s platforms ( web, mobile web and mobile applications)
• Responsible for BlaBlaCar’s FR terminology consistency
• Maintain project records, such as translation glossaries and other project documentation. 
• Focus on correct in-context linguistic usage
• Coordinate and supervise localization projects for the French market
  
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations

• Bachelor's degree in French required with a concentration in liberal arts, English or foreign language studies.
• Native French speaker with a passion for language, high-energy and positive attitude.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in B2C web localization including the following:Editing and proofreading in French and Translating from English to French in the internet space. 

• Experience as a Project Manager, or in a deadline driven role with accountability for delivering projects with multiple components and multiple stakeholders and collaborators

• Strong international background and experience from different cultures is a major advantage.

• Experience in localization tools, processes and content management.

• Enough technical acumen to be able to understand and communicate technical requirements.  

• Fluent English: written and spoken. Additional fluency in at least one or more of the following languages is a plus: Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish,Chinese, Serbian, Russian. 
  

• Highly detail oriented.
  

Start: ASAP

Contract : Long-term contract (CDI)

Salary: Determined by profile and experience
