BlaBlaCar is looking for a Portuguese Community Manager. This position will be based in our Madrid office, where you will work closely with Portugal’s Marketing Manager and have regular contacts with the other members of the Communication team, based in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Poland. 

BlaBlaCar is the European ridesharing leader and is growing at an outstanding pace. The company culture is highly international, shaped by twenty-four different nationalities. The communication team gathers 25 people, whose mission is to spread throughout Europe the BlaBlaCar offer, story, vision and values. 

Responsibilities
You will contribute to our overall customer support and moderation, product testing and optimization, social networks management, communications strategy and assist all PR activities and events organization in Portugal. Main responsibilities will include: 

• Organizing interviews with journalists and bloggers
• Support blogger outreach to generate online presence
• Animate Social Networks : Facebook, Google+ and Twitter
• Translating and adapting press releases for campaigns and updates
• Working with marketing manager to prepare for public speaking engagements or media interviews
• Regular contact (IRL & phone) with community to source case studies
• Plan and execute events in the region, including community and blogger meet-ups and press launches
• Brief and manage a PR agency if and when we decide to work with one 
• Track and measure the success of all campaigns, including the amount and quality of press coverage.
• Contribute to and collaborate with the global communication team (in English)
• Participate in brainstorming’s about future global communication projects 
• Translate and localise global communication projects
• Moderation of customer exchanges
• Moderation of content (user comments, profile pictures, vehicle pictures)
• Responding to our users (we offer a 100% response service)
• Processing complaints and claims
• Communicate feedback on product quality to the tech team

• Native Portuguese + Excellent command of English. (Spanish and French are a plus)
• Available to be relocated to Madrid on a long term basis
• Experience in managing projects in a fast paced environment
• Great organisational skills
• Unwavering verbal communications skills in any situation
• Keeping your cool and sense of humour under pressure
• Ability to work with international teams and quickly develop an understanding for the cultural differences
• Passion for BlaBlaCar and the mission of the company
• Must be able to work outside contractual hours when necessary

• Start: September
• Contract: Long term contract. 
• Salary: Depends on profile and experience
• Position: Based in Madrid
