Job Description

As a Communication intern, you will be joining the great Local Team « France & Benelux », and especially the French Communications Team, in Paris. You’ll be joining a very skilled and motivated team of people, whose goal is to foster awareness, love & engagement. 

Our mission is to become the low-cost transportation market leader in France by creating the ridesharing reflex in people’s mind, positioning BlaBlaCar as the most fun and serious service and having our members become evangelists of BlaBlaCar on social networks and in real life. As such, the role requires a sharp, creative, dynamic and rigorous mind.

Missions will include:

• 60% Events

Active involvement in all our events:

- Participation in the logistics
- Presence and implication on the ground during the events (music festivals, highway stations operations, stands, « prototype » events…)
- Creation of reports with qualitative and quantitative results after the events

Active involvement during the BlaBlaTour (it’s a Summer Tour that passes by 15 big French cities to meet our community during evenings called BlaBlaTimes):

- Management of the BlaBlaTour project from A to Z, in France: logistics, planning, negociations, management of the guest lists, presence on the ground, etc.

Active involvement alongside the Associate Communications Manager, in the BlaBlaDay project (it’s a one-day event organized in Paris, dedicated to the sensibilization about ridesharing and to the highlighting of the talents in our community):

- Participation in the logistics
- Presence and implication on the ground during the BlaBlaDay

Involvement in new kind of events/prototypes alongside the Communications Manager:

- Participation in meetings (brainstorming, business meetings…)
- Benchmark of new types of events
- Implication in the management of the projects

• 20% Partnerships

Active involvement in the building of visibility balanced partnerships alongside the Communications Manager with different kind of actors (tourism, car industry, collaborative consumption, ect)

Participation in the building of a strategy in order to work hand-in-hand with sport events organizers, sport federations, in the perspective to foster the brand awareness towards fans and supporters and to make BlaBlaCar a reflex in people’s mind.

• 20% Loyalty

Elaboration and management of a scalable process in order to send stickers and goodies to our members each month when they ask for it. 

Last but not least, you will work closely with all the team members and have the opportunity to see the Communication Team at work everyday in order to enhance your skills.


Qualifications

• Student in a Master’s Degree in Communication and Event

• High sense of organisation and method, big energy, efficiency, creativity, proactivity and ingenuity in any circumstance.

• Ability to work autonomously with tight deadlines

• Feeling yourself at ease with other people and on the phone is requested for this job because you will be a lot in contact with our community.

• Being already an active user of BlaBlaCar would be a plus.

• Being fluent in French & English is required.

• Having the driving licence is mandatory for this internship

• Being available all summer, evenings and weekends included, is mandatory for this internship because you will be on plenty of music festivals, BlaBlaTimes and so on.

Additional Information

• Start: April 2015 (possibility of a part-time from April to May)

• Place: in our HQ in Paris (metro Blanche or Trinité d'Estienne d'Orves)

• Contract: 6 month internship (possibility of a long-term contract (CDI) after the internship)

• Salary: 1000€ gross income/month
