As a press relations intern, you will be joining the Local Team « France & Benelux », and especially the French Communications Team, in Paris.

Our mission is to become the low-cost transportation market leader in France by creating the ridesharing reflex in people’s mind, positioning BlaBlaCar as the most fun and serious service and having our members become evangelists of BlaBlaCar on social networks and in real life. As such, the role requires a sharp, creative, dynamic and rigorous mind.

Missions will include: 

• Involvement in BlaBlaCar French PR strategy elaboration
• Press releases writing
• Journalists Incoming calls management
• Media coverage monitoring
• Journalists follow-up calls
• Reports and interviews organization
• BlaBlaCar Newsroom update

• Conferences organization

Desired Mindset, Skills and Experience:

• High sense of organization and method, big energy, efficiency, creativity, proactivity and ingenuity in any circumstance.
• Thorough knowledge of the French media landscape
• Unwavering verbal communications skills in any situation
• Good spelling and writing facility
• Ability to work with international teams
• Ability to work autonomously with tight deadlines
  
• Feeling yourself at ease with other people and on the phone
  
• Being already an active user of BlaBlaCar would be a plus…
  
• …But passion for BlaBlaCar and the mission of the company is compulsory 
  
• Good level in English

• 3 to 6 months previous experience as a journalist or as a press relation assistant

Start: April 2015
Place: in our HQ in Paris (métro Blanche or Trinité d'Estienne d'Orves)
Contract: 6 month internship (possibility of a long-term contract (CDI) after the internship)
Salary: 1 000€ gross income/month
