BlaBlaCar is looking for a Communications Manager to join its Ukrainian Team based in new Kiev office. The successful candidate will report to the Country Manager, streamlining daily contact with the Global Communications team based in the HQ in Paris, and with other community managers based around the world. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Manage all of the interactions with the community across online and offline platforms such as social networks, phone, online and offline events, meetups
• Actively manage our social networks accounts on Facebook, Vkontakte, Twitter, Instagram
• 1 to 1 management of BlaBlarCar’s power user community
• Regular contact (IRL & phone) with community to source case studies
• Manage the response queue for all our users (BlaBlaCar offers a 100% response service) 
  
• Communicating directly with journalists and bloggers
  
• Handle day-to-day media inquires and briefings across Ukraine
• Support blogger outreach to generate online presence
• Write press releases for campaigns and updates
  
• Work with country manager to prepare for public speaking engagements or media interviews
• Plan and execute events in the region, including community and blogger meet-ups and press launches
  
• Track and measure the success of all campaigns, including the amount and quality of press coverage.
  
• Contribute to and collaborate with the global communication team (in English)
• Take part in our overall customer support & satisfaction, moderation, product testing and optimization operations. 
• Translate and localise global communication projects
  
• Elaborating new communication strategies, both online and offline.  

• Passion for BlaBlaCar and the mission of the company
• At least 2 year of experience in a similar role
• Native Ukrainian and Russian + excellent command of English (written, read and spoken)
• Deep understanding of community management: social networks, event organization and member relations
• Thorough knowledge of the Ukrainian media landscape
• Strong consumer/lifestyle/travel media contacts
• Experience in managing projects in a fast paced environment
• Great organisational skills
• Unwavering verbal communications skills in any situation
• Problem-solving skills: you keep your cool and sense of humor under pressure
• Excellent social skills 
• Ability to work with international teams and quickly develop an understanding for the cultural differences
