Job Description

As a member of the UX Design team, you will be working within the growth team. 

You will join an agile cross-skills project, focused on delivering the best experience for each new visitor category (drivers, passengers), and improving the overall conversion funnels. As one of the design lead of this team you will be responsible for the evolution of the user interfaces of our site and mobile apps to achieve business objectives. As a data driven team, we take decisions based on AB testing to keep only best ideas and design and enhance a smooth user experience. This means that through your design and your ideas you can make a huge differencce on decisions. To maximize your impact on BlaBlaCar’s growth, you will work very closely with UX Design/Product, Growth Project Managers, and Tech teams and will be in touch with our local teams all over the world.

By improving our user’s experience you will have a major impact on people’s habits of travelling all around the world!


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Design intuitive and appropriate pages and interfaces that match visitors’ intent and that result in an increase of conversion ratios from visitor to user.
  • Create new interfaces for the web and mobile, from wireframe all the way to the final design
  • Collaborate with tech team for development of your integration
  • Iterate to improve the conversion rate of your design interface after AB testing
  • Always challenge the product's interfaces and strive to enhance its look and feel.



Qualifications

  • Experience in Visual and/or Experience design for major online services with a strong community and/or an important e-commerce aspect
  • Design Degree
  • A result oriented and problem solving attitude: you are not afraid of iterating and changing plans to reach objectives
  • An excellent eye for both commercial design & UX
  • You are comfortable using design softwares (Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Photoshop)
  • A business focus: you know that your designs are means to a global business goal, which is to provide value for customers and so create value for the business. This implies a strong understanding of our business!
  • Hands-on approach
  • Excellent communication skills: you are capable of explaining the logic behind the choice made while creating a new interface, from the point of view of both the visitor/user (design-centric) and BlaBlaCar (business-centric).
  • Fluent in English
