We currently have an opportunity for a talented Trust and Safety Manager to join us and support the high-speed growth and international expansion of the business. We are looking to expand our Public Policy team and are seeking an expert to help BlaBlaCar work with the Law Enforcement.

In this role, you will develop and maintain strategic relationships with law enforcement authorities and customs authorities in particular, government agencies with an Internet safety and security focus, and related industry coalitions.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing Public Affairs team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, global and fast-paced environment.

• Managing, developing and maintaining relations with law enforcement authorities, which includes the management of inquiries and investigations as well as proactive reach out/networking;
  
• Setting up processes to scale the processing of law enforcement inquiries; 
• Training member relations team to deal with law enforcement authorities;
• Educating law enforcement authorities on BlaBlaCar’s business model, including our policies for protecting our users;
• Working with investigation teams to develop and refer relevant matters to law enforcement authorities;
• Supporting legal and public policy teams’ engagement with law enforcement authorities, regulators and legislators on safety, security and law enforcement issues.
• Supporting the Member Relations team in building policies and procedures to (i) fight against fraud and other illegal activities and (ii) respond to legal requests.

• University degree or equivalent
• Advanced experience in the fields of online investigation and Internet safety
• Advanced experience with criminal law and procedure, and data protection regulations within the EU
• Extensive experience working with European law enforcement authorities, national data protection authorities and Internet industry associations
• Experience in a similar Internet safety and security role is preferred
• Ability to thrive and achieve or exceed objectives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Fluency in French and English is required. Additional languages are welcome.
• The position is based in Paris but frequent travels in the various countries where BlaBlaCar’s services are available will be required (currently 20 countries).
