As it was in 1933, Blarney Castle Oil and Propane is a Michigan-based, family-owned business. With more than 95 EZ Mart convenience store locations, propane and fuel oil service, commercial fuel and bulk lubricant sales, our primary goal is satisfying our customers.
Receives payment from customers purchasing items, goods, or services. Operates equipment to record sale or payment; receives cash; counts back change; operates credit card machine; checks in vendors; stock shelves, coolers, and freezers; prepares food; cleans interior and exterior of store; monitors customers during the dispensing of fuel. Verifies amounts to reconcile and balances cash register transactions. May prepare deposit slips for bank deposits. This position represents the first impression most customers receive of Blarney Castle Oil Co. therefore an incumbent has a primary responsibility to provide excellent customer service in a friendly, pleasant, and efficient manner.

Requires no prior experience but must possess basic math skills and the aptitude to learn all required job duties. Must be able to figure correct change during transactions. Must present a congenial, positive attitude, a neat and clean appearance, excellent customer service skills and work well with others in a team oriented environment.
A high school diploma or GED required. One or more years of comparable, proven experience may be substituted as partial qualification in addition to formal education.
Requires physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds; and moving and stacking merchandize; cleaning; sweeping; shoveling snow; and being able to stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
