Job Description

We are looking to add a Developer Advocate to our team. This person will help us cultivate a community of developers by evangelizing our revolutionary source code security offering. 

You'll do this by:

  • Inspiring developers to collaborate to own end-to-end responsibility for code security threats, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Coordinating and facilitating developer events like hackathons, workshops as well as craft content such as blog posts and presentations that empowers developers with the knowledge that they can secure their source code. 
  • Work directly with key stakeholders at some of our largest customers
  • Craft and perform live-coding presentations that will inspire and equip developers by telling stories with code.
  • Make those developers the heroes of their company.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in experience a common programming language such as some skills in Go, Rust, NodeJS, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, Java, Objective-C, or Swift Java, Ruby, Python, PHP, NodeJS, Objective-C, Swift or Golang.
  • You have an outgoing personality and are able to easily communicate with developers as well as non-technical business leaders.
  • Experience participating in developer communities online, or in person.
  • Experience presenting technical topics to a developer audience is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience as a technology evangelist, advocate or technical trainer.
  • Experience presenting at technical meetups, conferences, etc. (please share videos).
  • Experience writing technical blog posts/articles (please share content).
  • Compelling verbal and written communication skills.
  • Passionate about open-source technologies.
  • A very strong work ethic and results-driven attitude.
  • Bachelor/Masters degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
