Application Developer - Intermediate (Contract)

Bellevue, WA

Bluehawk is currently looking for a highly motivated intermediate level Application Developer to join our team working on building security measures for our client’s products. This role will use end-to-end web development, database and ETL technologies to create features for applications connected to a big data platform and data warehouses. 

Experience with security or big data is not required, but the desire to learn these is a must! If this sounds like a role you could dig your teeth into, keep reading!

Responsibilities 

• Create APIs for tying data collection systems together 
• Support engineering by developing web interfaces to improve internal tools
• Perform ad-hoc coding projects as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of combined experience developing with front to backend web technologies for enterprise-level applications using C#, ASP.NET or Model View Controller (MVC) and SQL Server required. 
• Strong experience with SQL Server development and tuning data warehouse stored procedures required. 
• Expertise writing ETL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages is a must have.  
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery 
• Some experience developing / connecting to middle-tier web-services with WCF (REST or SOAP) desired
• Experience 
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving, especially in the face of ambiguity.

• Strong cross-group collaboration skills are essential in order to develop relationships with business owners, as they reside in different organizational areas.

• Understands the importance of impact and influence by consciously developing strategies to influence partners, and the ability to anticipate the reaction of others.

Education

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science highly preferred
