Job Description

Business Intelligence Analyst (contract)

Redmond, WA


Bluehawk Consulting is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst with superb experience analyzing, mining and performing trends analysis on complex data sets and streaming data within a big data platform. 


Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient SQL Skills 
  • Practical experience of Transact-SQL and writing and editing stored procedures.
  • Practical experience in managing the internal MS SQL Server database security.
  • Basic MS SQL Server administration experience with SQL 2010 and newer versions.
  • Power BI Skills 


Analytical Skills:

  • Proactively identifies, gathers, and analyzes relevant data and complex trends within data warehouses and big data environments. 
  • Provide detection of relevant information to improve rules development used for prevention of fraud, piracy and cybercrime with minimal supervision. 
  • Develops and provides effective recommendations and guidance to Security team members.
  • Demonstrates findings using Metrics based on KPIs. 
  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of increasingly complex program marketing plans, policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards, resulting in full compliance with business standards and practices. 
  • Mentors and coaches developing colleagues within the workgroup when the opportunity arises. 


Communication Skills:

  • Presents findings to peers at a relevant place in the analysis; cross-checks work with peers to ensure processes are followed and data are accurately understood.
  • Presents findings to management if needed


Problem-Solving:

  • The BI Investigative Analyst will need to look at the data trends and recommend solutions for creating increased revenue and reducing losses.
  • To be successful, you’ll need to have the attitude that there is always a solution, so your focus and creativity will go into finding it! 


Time Management:

  • The BI Investigative Analyst will work on large projects with many data streams and tight deadlines. Being able to juggle multiple concurrent requests is paramount for success in the job.


Education


  • We are a scrappy, resourceful team with various levels of education. MBA’s are not required.
