BoutiqueHospitality Management is a dynamic, fast paced hotel management firm that iscurrently developing a restaurant in the Miami airport market. We are seeking aproject manager intern to oversee the preopening actives and coordinate withcompany executives, owners and contractors alike.  The ultimate objective is producing a firstclass restaurant.

Thisposition will oversee the minor construction, as well as, FF&E purchasingand installation for the restaurant. This position will communicate and coordinate with the hotel departmentheads for delivers, integration, and interruptions of services to the hotel asa result of the restaurant development. We are looking for someone to work on site at the project.  This would position would support thePresident with project and pre-opening activities.

PositionSummary

This is anintern position that will be asked to work collaboratively with other teammembers, contracted third parties, and with the owner/principal of the firm.The primary focus will be day to day oversight of programs currently inprocess. In all activities, candidate will represent the Company tocoordinate activities with third party consultants and on-site propertymanagers.

 

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Management Company’s Representative coordinating all of the pre-opening activities of the restaurant and coordinate with the construction team, the construction timeline and act as a liaison between hotel personnel, construction contractors and BHM management.
  • Assisting overseeing and managing all on site activities, including scope development, identifying and managing designers, as well as consultants, and contractors.
  • Project management including research of equipment, materials, supplies and methods, sourcing and assisting with negotiating qualified Supplier or contractors' bids, reviewing contracts, and quality control during all stages of the project.

·        Develop long and short range plans for theoperation. Assist the plans, once approved are properly executed. Help to ensureoperational standards are communicated, trained, and maintained

 

  • Assist and coordinate timely budget and forecasts regarding, but not limited to business levels, financial requirements, personnel needs and organization plans needed to support the resort operations

Qualifications

Thefollowing qualifications (if any) are preferred:

  • Previous work experience directly in preopening of a hotel or restaurant
  • Hotel pre construction or renovation experience
  • Must speak FLUENT English and Spanish
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent computer skills (incl. Microsoft Excel in a business environment) and ability to learn new programs/systems quickly
  • Excellent attitude and a strong work ethic REQUIRED
  • Ability to work under pressure and on deadline
