Legal/Regulatory Intern

  • Intern

Company Description

Bridj is your everyday transportation system that adapts in real-time to where you live, work, and play. Powered by data, we use a network of express shuttles that offer efficient and flexible trips that are as dynamic as the city you call home. We’re revolutionizing mass transit by connecting travelers directly with their destinations. We fill the void between traditional transportation and expensive customized solutions.

Job Description

This is not your typical summer legal internship. As a legal and regulatory intern you will be responsible for not only “spotting issues,” but coming up with concrete ways to solve them. Bridj is looking to expand into different cities and so the legal/regulatory intern will research applicable local, state, and federal regulations on our city expansion efforts. You’ll work closely with our Cities team to assist in drafting contracts with our vendors. You’ll be a full participant in our team meetings and take on a diverse portfolio--from vehicle safety issues to business registration. We are in true start-up mode, so we are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and help out on operations and marketing projects. This is a paid summer internship.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will be a rising 3L, but we are also open to taking on awesome rising 2Ls. The ideal candidate will also have research experience in and passion for city and state regulations and/or transportation. Prior experience in local or state government is a big plus. The ideal candidate will start May 25th and will be able to join us for 10-12 weeks. We are willing to be flexible and accommodate a full- or part-time schedule.
