Job Summary:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       This person provides support in the medical field by performing various medical and clerical activities to assure quality care and a more efficient work place.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Qualifications:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       High school diploma or equivalent is required.                                                                                                                                                                                                    A minimum of six months work experience in a health care facility performing duties relating to patient care is preferred.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Additional experience involving computerized data equipment is preferred.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain and display professionalism with customers and coworkers.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Basic computer and telephone skills.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Flexibility and adaptability.                                                                                                                                                                                                    A sense of the importance of the medical assistant’s role as a patient advocate.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Willingness to be accountable/responsible for own actions.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Must demonstrate competence in BCLS within six months in position by obtaining certification.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Maintains certification and competency in Mandatory Reporting.
