Job Description

The BIG Print National Sales Executive must always endeavor to be a trusted advisor for each client account. Specifically, the Print National Sales Executive:

• consistently achieves above-average sales results by understanding their clients’ business and objectives and establishes a plan to meet their needs. Understands client priorities and promotes benefits to be derived by a long term, continuity relationship. 

• utilizes consultative selling practices and processes by applying questioning techniques to uncover unmet current or prospective clients’ needs with the ability to formulate the right BIG product/solution that helps the client drive profitable revenue growth.  

• collaborates with BIG resources to satisfy client requirements and pursue cross-sell opportunities where they exist.

• demonstrates significant initiative to uncover new solution opportunities within current BIG clients by networking to expand relationships within the clients’ organization. Works diligently to ensure appropriate touch points within client are maximized, building a circle of collaboration around the process.

• stays on top of market place conditions to uncover new opportunities and consistently follow up current and potential clients to assess their interest in new product/service offerings. 

• actively works a system to prospect for new clients for BIG.

• aggressively prepares presentations for current and prospective clients in support of new business development activities. Delivers persuasive presentations, actively promotes products and services by making an emotional appeal; holds the clients’ attention and interest by keeping the presentation content relevant; varies style to build toward a buying decision. 

• relentlessly works with prospects/clients to close the sale. Develops and presents well-structured proposals to gain prospects’/clients’ commitment to implement the solution.

• works closely with account managers in the planning and delivery of print solutions by providing comprehensive job details that support our clients’ projects.

• answers technical and procedural questions from clients.

• interfaces with and provides support to the entire sales team assisting in sales and client activities.

• keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses. 


Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years commercial sales experience in printing industry

• Established client/prospect relationships that can lead to a book of business

• Demonstrated success in prospecting & securing new business

• Have a proven sales record with corporate decision makers

• Consultative selling approach with accomplished negotiating skills

• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, organization, verbal & written communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects.

• Good analytical thinking and ability to solve problems.

• Experience with various commercial print methods (sheet-fed, web, digital, direct mail, large format, fulfillment, packaging, print-on-demand, kitting/fulfillment, print management, etc)

• A team player that thrives in a high energy environment.

• Advertising agency account management experience a plus

• BS Degree in related field and/ or equivalent experience
