Job Description

CEDA’s shop in Sarnia offers a first-class culture with the opportunity to work on great equipment! Our mandate of doing the work right the first time is the pride we bring to the shop every day.

This is an on-call shift, overtime eligible – double time on weekends and holidays!

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of industrial cleaning equipment such as, chemical cleaning low pressure trucks, pumps, and various specialty tools
  • Responsible for setting up and supervising his/her product line jobs
  • Communicates the status of the assigned job to division management and customer representatives (before, during and after the job is completed)
  • Recommends changes and improvements to services and product lines based on job experiences and observations
  • Assists Technician(s) in the performance of their duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for hookup and breakdown of equipment using proper tools and procedure
  • Reads work orders for assigned job and designates proper hoses, chemicals and other equipment required for assigned job. If unsure, seek advice of Account Supervisor and/or Service line Supervisor
  • Ensures equipment is properly decontaminated at end of job
  • Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time

Role Specifications

  • Minimum Class DZ Driver’s licence with clean driver’s abstract
  • Minimum 1 year of Chemical Cleaning experience and a general knowledge of chemistry is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable working in enclosed (confined) space, under adverse conditions
  • Physically capable of performing physically demanding work
  • Professional - conducting work assignments in a professional and safe manner
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • You’re meticulous – you have no problem completing the required paperwork for projects and jobs
  • You’re flexible - willing to work an on-call schedule as needed and adapt to changing work environments
