Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking Hydrovac Operators at our Fort McMurray, AB location on Suncor site!

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain a Hydrovac and various specialty tools
  • Work alongside Labourers – 90% of your day is outside of the truck, boots on the ground
  • Work with clients to provide quality service based on specific job needs
  • Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
  • Ensure safety for all team members and property
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
  • Leave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.
  • Haul hoses, PPE and tools to where the work is being done
  • Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs

Role Specifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience operating a Hydrovac required
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s licence and experience operating a manual transmission
  • Willingness to work additional overtime shifts outside of regular schedule
  • Clean and current driver's abstract
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • CSTS-09 & OSSA Regional; BSO or Common Safety Orientation certification required
  • Having First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance, certification would be a significant asset

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Perform physically demanding work (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
  • Enjoy working outdoors in harsh weather conditions
  • You have the ability to work well in a team, share a laugh with your coworkers and get the job done safely
