CEDA is currently seeking a Supervisor for our Chemical Cleaning team at our Fort McMurray, AB location.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee chemical cleaning projects on client job sites. Providing a hands on leadership approach in the execution of onsite work.
• Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
• Supervise 4+ chemical cleaning personnel including performance reviews, progressive discipline and ongoing mentoring and coaching
• Work with customers – address any concerns immediately and escalate issues as required
• Estimate and forecast costs, time, manpower and equipment for various projects
• Attend monthly safety and supervisor meetings
• Work with CEDA’s policies, procedures and safe work practices
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 4 – 5 years’ of experience supervising a team of 4 or more individuals in an industrial chemical cleaning environment
• Experience in the following Industrial Chemical Cleaning Projects is an asset:
  • Exchanger Cleaning – 3 Stage Washes, Acid Washes, etc.
  • Boiler Cleaning –Various Chemical Washes with Passivation and Preservation.
  • Vapour Phase – Various scopes
  • Tank Cleaning – Circulation, separation, and degassing.
  • Air Blows – Decompression, Pulse, and Continuous Air Blows.  N2 Purging.
  • Familiarity with large bore pumping systems (skid pumps and chemical trucks).
• Experience working with the following industrial chemistries is an asset:
  • Hydrochloric, Sulphamic, Formic and Nitric Acid
  • Caustic, Ammonium Biflouride, Soda Ash
  • Various degreasers and degassing chemistries
• Valid class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
• Class 1 or 3 driver’s licence is an asset
• Clean and current driver's abstract (no more than 5 demerits)
• Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• CSTS-09 & OSSA Regional; BSO or Common Safety Orientation certification required
• You are willing and able to meet the travel requirements of this role (about 15% of time)
