CEDA is looking for two Field Machinists, this position will be based out of our Edmonton location. This is a temporary position working a 4x10’s in the pre window and 6x1 for the shutdown.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate manual, pneumatic and hydraulically controlled flange facers and cold cutters in a field environment
• Use of various hand tools
• Work with steel, aluminum, titanium, plastic, silicon and other materials
• Ensure adherence to blueprints, instructions, and specifications
• Assemble, install, maintain, clean and repair new and existing equipment
• Assist in training, direction & supervision of junior employees and apprentices, inspecting their work
• Maintain safe work practices and procedures
• Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
• Populate quality documents with runout
• Ability to travel and flexibility in scheduling is required

 Role Specifications

• Journeyman Red Seal Machinist or equivalent experience 4 years plus
• Previous experience with field machining
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance
• Experience in heavy industrial and or construction environments considered an asset
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test
