Our Pigging & Decoking division is looking to add to our existing Operator team. The work is physical in nature where much of your day will be spent operating pigging equipment.  The work varies day to day and you would be deployed to our various projects within the Pasadena area as well as throughout the state.  

Our Pigging and Decoking Operators provide support to refineries, petrochemical facilities and associated industrial complexes by cleaning pipes and pipelines by means of hydraulically propelling a mechanical pig through the line.

This position is for the mechanically inclined operator – if you have experience in mechanical or pigging that is an asset.

Hours of work are based off of client schedules as such the shifts vary greatly when the team is deployed to projects. At a minimum we work Monday to Friday 8AM - 5PM.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely mobilize equipment to and from client sites, company stations, and other facilities as directed
• Set up and operate specialty pigging equipment to clean systems at facilities
• Provide mechanical troubleshooting support in the field in order to ensure pigging equipment maintains operable
• Provide mechanical support in the shop in order to repair and maintain equipment
• Ensure completion of accurate paperwork pertaining to execution of scope of work in order to provide the client with accurate records of operation
• Proactively ensure that all personal training requirements are met and maintained
• Maintain open and truthful dialogue with Supervisors, Project Managers and Operations Manager to ensure understanding of scope of work and job readiness
• Haul hoses, PPE, and tools to where the work is being done
• Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
• Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time
• Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications

• 1+ year of industrial experience, preference given to those with pigging and decoking experience
• CDL Class A driver’s licence, no restrictions and a clean DOT driving record (asset but not required)
• Mechanically inclined
• Welding and fabrication experience would be an asset
• Onsite training will be provided but any knowledge of cleaning heaters, boilers and pipelines is considered an asset
• TWIC Card required
• Ability to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
• Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
• Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
• You’re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely
