Job Description

CEDA is currently seeking Labourers for our Sarnia, ON location! If you’re looking for a company that will give you the opportunity to learn and gain experience on pieces of equipment like vacuum trucks and high pressure water jetting units, apply today!

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the operation and maintenance of vacuum trucks, high pressure water equipment and various specialty tools
  • Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor intensive capacity
  • Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your back
  • Ensure safety for all team members and property
  • Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
  • Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
  • Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports and safety documents
  • Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time
  • Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications:

  • 1+ years experience in an industrial environment is an asset but not required
  • Clean Class G driver’s licence and current driver’s abstract (no more than 5 demerits and/or no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years)
  • Having First Aid, H2S Alive, Confined Space and Fall Protection certification would be an asset, but we will train you! 
  • Ability to travel throughout Ontario and flexibility in scheduling is required
  • Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
  • Experience and comfort with confined spaces
  • Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
  • Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment and air supply; wearing a full face mask and carrying your own source of oxygen
  • You’re happiest working in a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers and getting the job done safely
