Job Description

CEDA is looking to fill a 18 month term position on our Finance team. CEDA’s office staff is currently working remotely but this position is based out of our Fort McMurray office, working Monday to Friday.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Administer set up and input data for assigned projects in both the financial reporting and field data capture systems
  • Communicate with operational and accounting teams regarding project billing or cost discrepancies as they occur
  • Compare reports from field data capture system and accounting systems to identify any inconsistencies, making corrections as required
  • Run defined daily reports out of the financial reporting and field data capture systems to support team analytics
  • Follow defined process to import data into MS excel based tools
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting functions for both internal and external clients; including preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  • Coordinate project close-out analysis to ensure completion of work scope and billing ensuring there are no outstanding items
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Role Specifications 

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a contract administration, project administration or a project billing position
  • Business diploma in accounting, finance or business is considered an asset
  • Experience using financial/project accounting applications is an asset, bonus points for experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Saleforce Field FX
  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot tables, Formulas, Graphs etc.) is an asset
  • Experience with a “daily field capture” system is an asset
  • Experience comprehending construction type contracts is an asset
